It’s 11:30 and I’m sitting in my makeshift office. Downtown is quiet this time of night. All of the businesses are closed (except the bars and pubs). I had planned to see the new batman movie tonight but it didn’t work out. Lauren and I had planned to go but she had a hair appointment that had lasted a bit longer than she’d anticipated. Anyway, we went out for a bite instead. I’m pretty sure that we’re the last two people on the planet that haven’t seen it. Eh, I’m always late to see movies. I just can’t justify spending $8 to see a movie in a room full of loud and obnoxious strangers. Perhaps I’m just cheap when it comes to entertainment? Who knows. I just don’t like going to the theater. I’ve always found it amusing that the theater has armed police standing guard. Are they expecting a riot of some sort?

This week feels like it’s going by at a snail’s pace. I’m thrilled that tomorrow is Friday. Sadly, this weekend won’t bring me the much-needed relaxation that I desire. I’m going to be all over the place. Friday night will be spent at band practice. Saturday morning I’ll go to work for a few hours before meeting up with Lauren and attending her friend’s wedding. After the wedding we’re going to go see the new batman movie. Sunday I’ll be able to sleep in for a bit but then I’m driving to Noblesville to see Radiohead. Hell, I’m going to need another weekend to recover from my weekend.

Anyway, it’s getting late and I’ve been depriving myself of much needed sleep all week. I’d best go to sleep now before I get distracted and spend the next three hours searching the internet for whatever random wikipedia articles catch my interest. Gnight.

You can all thank Lauren for finding this knee slapper. She’s the one that discovered Jeff Dunham’s act “Achmed the Dead Terrorist” on youtube and brought it to my attention. Hats off for Lauren.

If you dig this video than perhaps you’ll dig Jeff Dunham’s other video clips as well. Do a search on youtube and see what you can find.

The real world sucks; especially the working part. I don’t know how people do this 7AM - 5:30PM shit day in and day out. I just don’t think I’m cut out for it. Well, to be technical, I could do it but the fact of the matter is… I don’t want to. However, I’m going to. Why? Because I’m completely broke and have bills to pay (just like everyone else out there).

I spend at least 2 hours of every shift thinking about things that I want to accomplish when I get off work but when it’s finally time to go home I’ve lost every ounce of motivation to the wind. When I get home, all I can think about is eating and sleeping. Perhaps I’m just ‘adjusting’ to a new schedule and everything will work itself out in a couple of weeks. Who knows. For now, it’s torture.

Today, for instance… I wanted to go to the gym and use the elliptical machine when I got off work. Didn’t happen. Instead, I’m sitting on my computer. There are dirty dishes in the kitchen that need to be done and yet I’d rather type about them instead of getting up and doing them. Perhaps my mood will change once I take a shower; if it’s not still fucked up. Our shower has been on the fritz for the past week or so. It all started with the road/alley construction taking place right outside of my apartment. They started last week and ever since I’ve yet to have any decent water pressure in the shower. Strangely enough, the water pressure to the sinks and toilet are just fine. I have no answers to this madness. If it doesn’t get better by tomorrow I’m going to have to call the landlord. I really don’t want to have to call him because I feel bad about the incident with the carbon monoxide detector. Eh, if it comes to it I’ll just have to bite the bullet and make the call.

That’s it! I’m forcing myself to be motivated. I have tons of recordings to mix down and I’m really going to make an effort to get started tonight. I’m going to start things off with a shower. Hopefully it will feel fully pressurized and not like I’m being pissed on by a squirrel.

I’ve been blogging for years, and doing it pro-bono because it’s something I enjoy doing. Until recently, I’d never given much thought as to whether or not my blogging hobby could become a source of income. I mean, I have read countless articles on the internet about people making a living being a writer but I never considered myself to be one of those people. I just figured that most professional bloggers had gone to school for journalism; Apparently I was was wrong.

I recently stumbled upon a site called PayPerPost.com which is a service that pays you to write blogs about whatever you enjoy writing about. Every day they post what they call “blog opportunities” which consist of a list of companies looking for people to write about certain things. You can pick and choose whatever you want to write about. So far I’m new to the site so I haven’t made much money but for writing this post I’ll be getting paid $20. I know you’re jealous.

So yeah, if you have a blog and are interested in making money while doing something that you’re already doing for free, you should sign up for PayPerPost (get paid to blog). The sign up process is painless and they don’t require you to get a physical. You don’t have to pay any money. Everything is 100% free (otherwise I wouldn’t be telling you about it). If you’re looking to make a few extra dollars a week it’s a good alternative to working in fast food. All you need is your own .com and a blog that people read. Simple.

I’m sure there are a few people out there that would consider this ’selling out’ but they’re not paying my bills.

Hooray! No more missing fingers!!!! Anyway, this probably isn’t a big deal to most people that live their lives far away from the manufacturing processes that make everday life possible. I’ve grown up in a family that makes a living doing manufacturing so I thought this was kinda cool.
