420 = Blunts and Birthdays

Picture borrowed from some random myspace of someone not worried about putting illegal substances on their profile page and not even bothering to set it to private.

Once again, it’s 4/20. This is quite possibly one of the only dates that you would find circled on an addicts calendar. Well, if they even have a calendar that is. It’s a day of mystery and mischief. Today is a day of minimal productivity across the spectrum of world citizens. A day where smokers of all walks come together and recognize their common bond. Teachers, janitors, students, factory workers, scientists, politicians, and doctors all partaking in their little bit of rebellion. Sometimes I wonder if the holiday would mean as much if the substance were legalized. I wonder if there was some sort of ‘tea time’ designated to drinking during the brief stint of prohibition? Hrmmmm

Anyway…

Flocks of high school and college students across the country are engaging in the inhalation of intoxicating smokes while discussing the various myths associated with this counter-culture holiday. We’ve all heard the various myths about events that have taken place on 4/20.

+ Hitler’s Birthday
+ Columbine
+ Napoleon the III’s Birthday
+ Carmen Elecktra’s Birthday
+ Johrdan Vicstein’s Birthday

What’s the point? The point is smoking. That’s all it is. Cannabis culture reaches its apex every year on April 20th specifically at 4:20AM and 4:20PM. So there you go. If you’re in the know than you know.
