Democracy: Fuck Yes
Democracy is a fierce and fickle mistress. It’s awesome when it’s on your side and sucks the biggest dick when it gives you the cold shoulder. We’ve all had our ups and downs. I personally have felt as if democracy has given me a good dose of the ‘blue balls’ for the past eight years w/ Bush. Now it’s time to move forward. We finally have a president that knows how to speak to large audiences and fill them with the energies necessary to get things accomplished.
So yeah… FUCK YEAH America. I would have been just as pleased had we elected Ron Paul but either way… Fuck Yeah. I should have been studying all night for my Latin quiz tomorrow but all I have to say is this…
So much history has taken place in the past 24 hours that my head is about to explode. Indiana has gone blue and we have a black president! So awesome…. I’m exhausted… Too many rum and cokes.
Gnight.

LOL.. I do hope your right. However, he must reach across the table or his administration will never work. Exit polls showed that 20 percent of the conservatives and 60 percent of the independents voted for him. It must be more than Collin Polwell. He must work to bring the left and the right back together. Telepropted words only go so far. There is the ol “Action speaks louder then words” Waking up this morning I hear that Rahm Emanuel a guy from the Clinton administration will be his cheif of staff. He is known to be a straight up far left dick. Thats not change. I remember when I was about your age and most of us were ready to see Clinton go. We just wanted something different. Funny how it works like that but it does. I swear towards the end I wanted to shoot myself everytime Clinton spoke. Just like most of us do with Bush now..lol Clintons voice and his well aimed thin as air bs didnt work at the end of term 2. Thats why the democrats failed from that point. I think the view president was FTL at that point. People didnt look up to the post anymore. Bush.. Well he brought values to the table that many thought would rectify that. Many thought he would change the worlds opinion about the USA and put us back up on a pedistal… Uhm Not. His poor skills has a commuicator and poor choice of people ruined it. Post 911 was his greatest moment. I do think everything was handled properly but it was all down hill after that. He greatly overstepped on many issues and like many presidents corruption followed. I think all presidents really get detached from realtiy after a few years. 8 years of media brain washing didnt help either…lol
America is not a Democracy. It is a Representative Republic. The fact you don’t know this is a testament to our lousy government schools. As far as the rest goes, Let’s hope those new taxes on small business don’t destroy the tool company. I would bet you still need a paycheck.
Logicdoc: I was using the term loosely to describe the popular vote based on the general knowledge that most people possess that term would have made more sense to them. I could have chosen to use more technical political terms but I don’t really consider my site to be a political machine and therefore I don’t consider my readers to be political scientists. I could have referred to the US as a Constitutional Republic or a Representative Democracy or whatever tickles your fancy but I chose to use one broad, all-encompassing, term.
As for the tax program. I’m confident that America will find a way. Given the insurance accurary tables on the likeliness that McCain would be in good health for an entire 4-year term. I think we’ll be a lot better off with Obama than we would with Palin sitting in an office of power. Either way, I would have much rather it have been Ron Paul. Sadly, there aren’t enough people in the country that want REAL CHANGE. Perhaps I’m just overly excited to see a president that can give speeches again. Yep, I think that has a lot to do with it.
We won’t be able to judge Obama for another 2 years so there’s no reason to be excited to the point of fanaticism as of yet. Only time will tell. After all, there were a lot of people that seemed excited when Bush took office and now they are partying as he leaves. It’s politics. It’s all bullshit for the most part.
Actually for many the judgment begins now. We will all be looking over next month whether he likely to reach across the aisle as proposed. What he decides now will weight on him heavily the next 4 years. So far his decisions don’t seem very positive. Rahm Emanuel as Chief of Staff, John Kerry is the top runner for Secretary of State, and possibly Arnold the governator of Cali as the Secretary of Energy.
It’s time for a new Political party. Neither of the 2 major parties have the peoples interest at heart. They only have their back pockets in mind. Keep your eye on Barack. He will go back on his promises faster then you can imagine. He is a hardcore solcialist/marxist. If you study his history, you’ll see what I’m talking about. Time will tell how bad it will be, but I don’t expect him to do anything to improve America. I sure hope I’m wrong.
There’s a typo in my last comment. It should say socialist/marxist. Next time I’ll proof it before I submit.
