Post-Christmas Post

Although it’s 1:02AM and technically the 26th, I am still considering it to be Christmas because I haven’t gone to bed yet and I tend to think of time in terms of going to sleep and waking up. I got a lot of sleep last night so I’m not even remotely tired. Plus, I’m still geeking out about the awesome gifts that I received. This Christmas was exceptional for a number of reasons. First off, I got to spend a lot of time with both my family and the GF’s. Secondly, I made sure to give gifts that were well thought out and that makes all the difference. No one likes to get something that they don’t want and then have to smile through their teeth and pretend that they like it when in fact they want to bash your face in.

Seriously though, this Christmas was pretty sweet. Well, except for being vegetarian and missing out on all the ham and turkey. That was a drag. I neared the point of abandoning the vegetarian diet a number of times but somehow managed to talk myself out of it. Damn my willpower. Damn it to hell!

I bought Lauren (the GF) a blackberry to replace her old piece of shit phone that she’s hated ever since she first got it. I don’t think she’s put it down for more than 5 minutes since she opened it. I’m really glad that she liked it. I’m a bit sad now that she has it because I’ve been screwing with her head for the past couple of days making her guess what I got her. Now the jig is up and it’s no fun. Oh well, now she has a multi-functional phone that works.

She bought me a CD player for my car and it’s 100% badass. My current CD player is possessed by demons and has been driving me nuts for years now. I can’t even begin to explain just how jank my CD player is. I’m going to take a video of it so that you can see for yourselves. It’s beyond words.

My dad bought me a new video card for my computer… an nVidia 9800 GT. I replaced my nVidia 6800 as soon as I got home. I could barely fit the new card into the case. It was HUMONGUOUS! Oh well, despite it’s beefy size it’s an amazing video card. 1GB of memory for all the gaming and graphics I can throw at it. Booyah!

I got a lot of books this Christmas. It’s going to take me a couple of months to read them all but that’s a good thing. I had run out of good books to read but now I’m all backed up again. Mmmmmm words.

Lauren’s sitting in the other room playing Guitar Hero III on the xbox 360. I bought it for her as an early Christmas present. She loves that game. Oh, and did I mention that she’s 1000000x better at it than I am? Well, she is. I couldn’t play that game well if my life depended on it. I would just die.

Anyway….

I hope all of you had a good Christmas! I’m outta here.
