I removed all of the pedals and went to town on the velcro with a lint roller which proved to be a very effective tool for the job. I also used strips of duct tape to pick up the bigger pieces of debris. I then set out to clean the pedals with q-tipps and such.

So yeah, it’s clean now and in pristine condition. I’m proud.

Friday night, Lauren and I drove down to Bloomington, Indiana to watch Dinosaur JR. perform at the Bluebird. The show was face meltingly loud and I’m pretty sure that our ear drums have sustained permanent damage. Oh well, it was worth it. Those guitar solos were heavenly. J Mascis, the guitar player for Dinosaur JR, had so many effects pedals. I tried to keep my jealousy under control. Anyway, the show was awesome. After all of the noises had come to an end we ended up meeting J Mascis at a bar across the street called ‘the vid’.

optical communication
Lauren took this picture with her awesome new camera.

It’s been a good weekend. Our trip to Bloomington was thoroughly enjoyed. Special thanks to Johrdan Vicstein for the hospitality and Bloomington insight. It was much appreciated. Watching the new episodes of the US Office on a projector was exactly what I needed after a night of drinking and smoke inhalation.

I’m sitting around listening to all of my old recordings that are taking up space on my hdd 4-track. Some of these recordings are amazing. I can’t believe that they’ve been collecting dust for so long. I have hours and hours of music stored on this thing. This could be a long night.

I haven’t seen any official fliers for the show but I’m going to make the voyage anyway. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a good house party and, to be honest, it’s been too long. I’m expecting cheap and shitty keg beer with loud music and dancing.

Earlier today, while I was browsing through the music on my computer I noticed that I had over 7,000 songs. That’s a shitload of music! When I loaded up Winamp I was informed that I had enough music to play uninterrupted for 30 days 23 hours and 33 minutes. This gave me an idea. I am going to play through my entire playlist for 31 days straight and scrobble the whole thing to Last.fm for everyone to see.

So here’s the deal. Starting today, my computer is going to play through my entire musical archive without a break. Although I will be turning down the music when I go to sleep I will not be pausing or stopping it until every song has been played all the way through. Every day for the next month or so I will be making video-blog posts to keep everyone up to speed on the experiment. I will also be broadcasting a live video feed from thefrizzle.com headquarters at random times throughout this experiment so make sure you check out thefrizzle.com/tv frequently to see if the feed is up.

On with the RULES!

Here are the rules
#1. Songs must be played from beginning to end.
#2. Songs must not be paused or stopped for any reason.
#3. Volume levels may be adjusted during sleep periods.

You can my progress @ last.fm
